Nick established NHC in 1998 after a 7-year apprenticeship with one of Melbourne’s industry stalwarts. He was age 26 when he decided it was time to see if he could make it on his own. Within the first month Nick landed a 52-part children’s series for a major network – a not insubstantial feat for someone just starting out!
Originally a one-man band with a small, but loyal client list, NHC has grown to become one of Australia’s most respected boutique casting offices. Casting Directors Megan D'Arcy and Amy Mete have been working with Nick for over twenty years combined.
Nick became one of the driving forces behind the establishment of the Casting Guild of Australia (CGA) – a not-for-profit organisation that represents the interests of casting directors within the industry. Nick was Vice President of the CGA from 2013 to 2016. He's been nominated for Best Casting for The Divorce, St Kilda Film Festival Trailer, RACGP & Hungry Jack's TVC's.
He is a remote control bully and dances way too close to the speaker...generally alone.
Megan’s casting career with Nick began in 2000. Originally intended to be a summer job before heading back to uni, Megan was surprised to find that she loved casting and decided to stay – much to Nick’s relief!
Megan won a CGA Award in 2016 for best casting in a TV commercial for her work on a Foxtel campaign.
She is a mother of two, has small hands and keeps a minimum of three pairs of shoes under her desk at all times.
Originally from Far North Queensland, Amy is a trained dancer who was drawn to Melbourne to continue her career. Amy worked at a Performing Arts School & Talent Agency before landing her present gig at NHC in 2010.
Amy is a proud CGA Member and is currently on the Awards Commitee.
She loves building websites, Beyonce & Afterpay but not in that order.
